There are opportunities for motivated and dedicated students to join the project "Diversity and Evolution of Gymnotiformes" through master, Ph.D., and posdoctoral fellowships from São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). The selected individual will work at the Museu de Zoologia da Universidade de São Paulo (MZUSP) with Dr. Naércio Menezes or Dr. Aléssio Datovo. In addition, all FAPESP fellowships give the recipient opportunity to apply to a BEPE (Research Internships Abroad) to work from 3-12 months at the National Museum of Natural History and/or Cornell University (Dr. Casey Dillman, Co-PI of the project).

During his/her stay at the MZUSP the selected candidate will have access to the resources necessary to conduct the proposed research. These include, but are not limited to, access to the largest fish collection in South America, 3D micro CT Scan, and molecular facility. Furthermore, the person will have the opportunity to take part of field expeditions that will be conducted during the course of the project.

Potential candidates should contact me by      with a letter of intention and CV.
